Now the question is, every vpn providers commit to protect your privacy online but how can we believe that they speak truth?

what have they actually accesd through hacking it . its a forum, if your saying they have accessed credit card details that's a different matter

on the larger question, you cant have on line privacy,(or an unhackable website) if they promise to protect it that's fair enough, if they guarantee you cant be traced/ hacked or other wise interfered with that's probably an exaggeration. if somebody or something is prepared to invest enough time and effort is to tracking your internet movements and tracing you, they they will achieve that. the best you can hope for is they pick someone easier

and not using a vpn makes it ridiculously easy to monitor, trace and or hack you

im not sure what your asking, i though i answered this above.

you don't need a vpn unless your worried about being traced, which then depends on how illegal? immoral what ever your doing that you don't want traced back to you is, a to how much money effort you invest in it. or how paranoid you are

except 1) if you want to circumnavigate geo blocking or bypass your works porn filter or some such
2] your using a public hot spot/ wifi as anybody on the same network can easily access you machine and swipe data credit card detains etc.

if doesn't really stop skilled hackers from accessing your device, or installing malware if they can locate you they can hack you, in which case what you really need is a decent firewall{ remember them } or some live monitoring soft ware like malware bites that will prevent trojan etc going on to your device and stop any suspicious activity.

but you have to be realistic, they not infrequently hack the pentagon, if they cant build a secure system yo0u cant, that's why i never ever put my credit card details on a computer, if you cant buy it with a paypal/ amazon/google3 voucher i don't have it
