kindle cloud

Got kindle fire for Christimas from wife and kids plus $50 amazom card 60+ yrs and new to tablet. My question is if I buy the kindle music"cloud" for $20 can I play tunes when not connect to net. Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
The cloud is a media storage that is not in your device, is on a server somewhere else, so in order to listen to music on the cloud you have to have a data connection (wifi) and playing the music stored there is called streaming . You can download music from the cloud to your device and not need a connection for the downloaded songs.

To view photos or videos stored on the cloud you have to download them to your Fire and need a data connection to do so but once downloaded you won't need the connection to view.
