Unable to delete picture from Gallery

I don't have a USB cable for my Kindle Fire, so I sent the pictures to my email and then downloading them to KF. The pictures show up in Gallery. I was able to delete the first picture (used for testing) and I have not been able to delete more pictures. Like the first picture, I pressed on the picture and it gave me the Delete option. It then asked me to confirm or cancel, I confirmed deletion. However nothing happened this time. The picture doesn't go away. I tried many times and the result is the same. Wondering if anybody has encountered a similar problem and found a way to get around it.

Found the problem. Once the picture is displayed, you have to use the option button on the bottom to select delete. If you do that, it works.

I can not delete pictures from my kindle for android. Accidentally few pics came on my kindle, and if I delete them they are moved to 'archived items. But they never go completely! What should i do about it?
