2 Kindles on One Account - Can't Get Same Game On Both. ???

Hello!

I just bought both of my boys new Kindle Fire HDs. I feel pretty clumsy & stupid using this because I personally use an iPad3. Both of my boys pretty much want the same games, however I'm finding that when one downloads a game & then the other one tries, it says he already has it but he doesn't. If I buy one app/game/movie/etc. does it apply to both? How do I get it to appear on the 2nd device?

Welcome to the forum.
On your first Fire you purchase app and download like normal.
On second one if you want same app open the Amazon app store , tap menu, tap my apps, scroll down to the one you want, tap it, install.

I have the same problem. My boys both have a kindle fire but when one downloads a game the other can not access on his device. They are both registered to the same account. We have looked in the cloud and the device. When teh seconf device goes to the store to "buy it" again it says that it has already been purchased and we should check in the library..but it is not in the library. There is no problem at all with books. Any suggestions?

You've checked in "my apps" on the cloud? If so try reboot the Fire that says it's already in its library

We're having the same problem. Two brand new Kindle Fires this morning; my daughter bought an app on hers and now my son can't access the same free app on his.. It keeps saying "You already own "Game" (Kindle Table Edition) - please find it in the Apps Library." It IS NOT THERE. Yes we're checking "my apps" on the cloud. I knew I should have bought them ipads..

Hi folks , same problem here . Bought 2 kindle fires for my twin daughters , they opened them this morning . Kindle one downloaded an app and that happily downloaded to kindle 2 .

Then kindle 2 downloaded an app , kindle one cannot get it because it keep saying you you have this purchased already , you already own it etc . We have checked cloud etc and reset the kindle with no luck .

I just grabbed this from the Amazon website. It should work for 7"and 8.9"

The menu should be the same menu button you normally tap. I've only played with the newer HD user interface so I don't remember what it looks like but on the Fire 1 it's a square icon on the bottom center just to the right of the back arrow

Thanks , I thought that was the one you meant . There is no "My apps" in that menu . All that there is is , go to app store , tap menu , then the choice is . All categories / my subscriptions/app updates / gift certificate and promos / saved for later/ help . We have also clicked through those sub menus and nowhere is there a "my apps" .

same problem here, 3 kids, 3 kindles this morning

swipe down to reveal the device/settings menu

sync the device that you purchased the app on first, then sync the second device

after the sync your apps will show on both devices
