New to the Fire, and Kindle in General.

    Hello,

Just picked up my first Kindle this weekend, the Kindle Fire.

Had some time to play around with it and so far I am very pleased. This device can do so much for such a low cost....and I think the size is perfect. I have been an Amazon Prime member for quite some time, and was thrilled to see how that all pans out on the Fire!

I was wondering, is it worth putting a screen protector on the front glass? I hear it is very tough, and it's not necessary.

    Welcome to the forum.
I, personally, don't see a need for one but others may disagree. I run all my devices without one and haven't had any problems

When I first got my KF, I wanted to install a screen protector but never got around to it. I've had it for 4 months and now can't see the need for one. The front glass seems very durable, just need to clean the fingerprints off!

Yep..just a microfiber towel wipedown to clean the screen, and keep it in a neoprene sleeve to protect from dropsies. Welcome!
