Google Play store will not support Kindle Fire since amazon wants to be the only App provider for Kindle.
However, you may try looking for those apps in alternative app stores such as 1mobile market or Aptoide
There is a bunch of other places you can get the same apps that are on Google Play Store. You just have to take a bit of time to find them. You can actually get many of the apps that are on the Play Store but you will have to use ES File Explorer (available from Amazon) to install them. Some are not compatable; but most of them are.
The nice thing about Amazon, 1Mobile, Getjar, and several others is they are set up for you to download the app and then install it for you. You just have to answer a few questions that the site asks about the app you are getting.
I don't think Amazon meant to LOCK out other app stores completely or they would not have put the capability to allow the installation of apps from unknown sources on the Fires. I have the original and of the 37 apps I have on my Fire less than a 1/3 came from Amazon. But I am beginning to see that some apps that run on my Fire won't run on the new ones. That is a bit of a concern to me. The newer ones have a newer version of android on them than the original. Even with the launcher that Amazon puts over the android OS; you can't hide the difference.
Seems like a problem waiting to happen. Backward and Forward compatability or lack of could hurt the market for the Fire compared to other tablets.fdalbor

How do you use ES File Explorer to install an app?

After you have downloaded the app file, load ES File Explorer it will show you all the folders on your Kindle. Go to the download folder and highlight it; next you need to highlight the app file you just downloaded and ES will ask you if you want to install it (or update it) if you have already installed it. Click yes and thats it. fdalbor
