I don't order tech gear before it releases so though I intend on getting one I want to try it out first. I've learned 2 things always over promise and under deliver; revenge and tech gadgets

OTHER My wife would shoot me if I added another tab. Already have the xoom and touchpad. I was able to convince her the touchpad was for her. Not sure I can convince her that my 6 yr old son needs a tablet.

I pre-ordered one this morning. I already own an ASUS TF101 Eee Pad Transformer and with the Transformer’s keyboard/dock I have both a tablet and a replacement for my netbook. I’m very happy with my Transformer so you may be wondering why I ordered the Kindle Fire. I’m sure my wife will be wondering the same thing so here’s my story. Instead of a Webkit browser the Kindle Fire will use Amazon's "Silk“, an all-new Web browser powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a developer, it is important that I have the ability to check my sites using this new browser. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

My 3 year old daughter got a hand me down , my ipad, when I got my Tab so it's doable, especially for only $200.

Not yet, but I'm thinking this may be the tab for me. I haven't purchased a tab yet, but I use Amazon religiously, and my wife and I are always sharing her Kindle. I think she'd let me get one so she can have her Kindle all to herself again
