Netflix just issued an interesting press release. They wanted to let us know that they have developed a new and improved user interface that is specific to tablets. These enhancements are designed to make it easier to browse for and find the movies you want to watch. It doubles the amount of movies and TV shows you can browse through on screen at once, among other improvements. I really like the new look. One of the things I find funny is that the screenshots they used for the Netflix app in the Amazon app store shows pics of the older, phone-style Netflix setup. This is in spite of the fact that the app was just added yesterday according to the store info, and the write up for the app in the App Store mentions the Kindle Fire several times. Why couldn't they have used the new screen shots? Weird.
