Were is the notification option?
DiggTwitterShare on FacebookReddit!Settings, notification sound. Settings is at the bottom in the center ( looks more like an sd card icon than settings icon).
You might have to enable wake or screen on under settings. I was using my daughters Fire so I'm going by memory and don't have it in front of me.

I USE THE TEXTPLUS APP AND I LOVE IT, IVE BEEN USING IT FOR ALMOST 2 years now and Its the only texting app that's completely free and that actually gives you your own number. Its recentky been updated and the notifications work now and I would highly recommend it
