You get the idea. One Fire, two users. We both have active Amazon accounts. We both want different books, apps, music, games, etc and want to keep our accounts separate. Must we register and deregister each other every time we sign on? Will Cloud automatically save all our new downloads and will they be available when we "fire-up the Fire?" Thanks so much for any advice y'all can give us

With only one device and two accounts the solution is just what you have been doing. Although all purchases made to each respective account will remain in the cloud, I would expect that only downloads applicable to the current logged-in account holder would appear on the device at the time.

IMHO, the best and easiest solution in this case would be to purchase a second Fire. Problem solved.

Thanks so much for your reply Skydog. Two Fires would be ideal. We'll see how well we like this one. And you're correct, his downloads don't appear on my account, vice versa!
