Making All Downloaded Books Show Up Under Books Instead of Docs

My GF got a Kindle Fire HDX for Christmas. I downloaded a bunch of books (8000 or so) from a torrent site and put them on there for her. Some of them show up under books, showing the cover and author like I want them too. But a lot of them are showing under docs, what would be the best way to make the ones under docs show up in books? I've tried converting with calibre before and it usually freezes or crashes my computer, or somehow ends up messing up my books

First thing: Careful what you "admit to" -- downloading a bunch of books from torrent site (depending on what they were) is fully illegal and you've just admitted that on a public forum.

I am having the same problem with converted (purchased of course ) ePubs and other books that I got from a variety of (legitimate of course!) sources. I have had mixed results using Calibre. But I want to have a one step "done and it's done" method. Having to workd this hard with the HDX is silly considering I can dump anything into a regular e Ink Kindle and it shows up immediately. I'll report when I find it!

Here is the solution: Often when you get or convert a book it's put into a folder with the .mobi file, cover, and another file. What you need to do to get the .mobi to show up in "books" is to take the .mobi out of the folder and have it directly under the root Kindle or Books folder. (i.e. Books/Title.mobi vs. Books/Title/Title.mobi) - make sense? Once I did that, it was flawless.
