Can I transfer the apps/games from the kindle fire to my PC, reset to factory defaults (as that is they only way to reset the password) and reload the same apps/games back on afterwards? I was attempting to see if I could block you Tube only without shutting down all web access - could not - so I went into parental controls and while messing around with the settings, added a password.....without writing it down. We now can not even hook to the wifi in the house without inputting the parental password - which I cant remember.
I have moved several apps to my computer using the USB cable provided with the second generation Fires, and gone the other way also. I transfered them by going to the folders on the Fire and then dragging them to the computer. Only trouble is I don't know if you can get to the folders now with the parental password protection. Sorry but I have never used the protecton so I don't know what you can and cannot see when you connect with the cable and the protecton enabled. It may be possible. fdalbor
