Update 6.2 dowloading and problem with Kindle flipping views...flips to wide screen

First question:

Version 6.2...is it only available by downloading on to computer and then transferiing via usb to Fire? I didn't see any way to download direct to Fire. I've got 5 or 6 usb for other things, but not of them have a plug that fits the Fire.

Second question:

I'm reading a book lengthwise and all of a sudden it switches to widthwise...is this a bug or am I doing something wrong.

Sync your Fire - tap the little gear icon at the top, then tap on Sync in the options that pop up. Then "sleep" your Fire - don't turn it off completely. It'll take about 5 minutes or so, but it should automatically download and install the software upgrade.

Mine download yesterday while I was charging the KF.

Tap the gear Icon.at top of.kindle then press :lock" to lock the screen.orientation. this prevents the fire from annoyingly shifting the screen orientation whole reading.
