How Do I Add/Include Album Art to Music on the Kindle Fire HD?

Hi all, I've messed around with mp3s for over a decade, have a large collection, and to play them I use any/all of itunes/Winamp/iphone/ipad/digi jukebox.

What I am trying to say is I thought I knew all about tagging mp3s and including albumart to display on my devices - but the Kindle has me stuck.

I have added several albums but only one of the shows the album cover.

I have tried tagging them in the mp3 itself, adding an image into the music folder, changing the image name to 'folder.jpg', deleting/retrying different methods etc etc etc.

Still, I cannot seem to get the covers to display (yet they do in other apps). I have compared the ONE that shows ithe cover and it appears no different to the others?

Does anyone have a simple fix for this please?

I have Googled it and some mention using MediaMonkey to add art. I tried this (why, I don'y know as I have always had great success with WinAmp) but still to no avail.

    Thanks in advance

Hey, I was having the same trouble. Found out on another site that theres an app "Album Cover Finder" that you can use to search for the artwork and add them to your songs. theres a free version with ads, and a pro version without ads which is 63p! Its a bit of hassle, if you're like me u have the artwork already on the files, to have to go and add them just on the device. It's a problem that really shouldn't exist in the kindles! Hope this helps!

    Hi Shauna,

Please can you point me in the direction of the pro version. Like James I have a large I-Tunes collection and find it infuriating that the covers have not copied over.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

I am seeing the same issue with my wife's new Kindle fire HD. The album art shows when I play the file on a different player such as Windows media player, but does not show on the Fire HD. I tried loading the same album on my son's Kindle fire, and the album art shows up there. Hopefully Amazon will fix this, I don't want to have to run a third-party tool on every MP3 album to fix this. It seems funny that this would work on the older version of the Kindle Fire but not on the new HD.

Other than this, she really likes the device.

    Happy new year!
    Pat

OK, I found it by going to the app store on my Kindle and downloading the Pro version at 63p, thanks for the heads up Shauna. Now comes the task of sorting the majority of my albums but I am now a happy man. Looks like I have a lot to learn about this device but that is no different to when I got my I-Pod.

    Happy New Year,

    Chris.
