But still I can't get it to work![]()
Correct non HD but will that be a problem for this go launcher to work or? So what to do from here any suggestions anyone? Really like my Kindle Fire but very sad over not getting all advantages as it is for now![]()
No luck. Just downloads and installs but you can't click the open tab.
Maybe something to do with the software version of the kindle?
I think so.
You might find better luck with an answer on the Amazon forum than here. The next generation hasn't been talked about much here. Traffic might pick up soon when the 8.9 releases and with Christmas coming

I've spent several hours trying to do the same thing, i.e. get Go Launcher Ex to work on a Kindle Fire 2 (2nd generation). I've tried and re-tried many times, following the instructions on YouTube videos (one was the same one you used, I believe). I got the Go Launcher Ex file from the Go Launcher site, and after installing it, I could see that it had been installed, but it was never visible to execute. I even tried an older version (2.86), which is what was used in one of the YouTube videos. I uninstalled and re-installed more than once, powered the Kindle off and on, etc. but never got it to work. I've concluded that the Kindles for which this has been installed were the first generation Kindles, and that it will not work in the Kindle 2 because of some type of change in the unit's hardware/software. I've recently asked about this on some other forums.
If anybody has gotten it work work on a Kindle 2, I hope they speak up, so that we might be able to find out what they did to accomplish that.
Meanwhile, I'll just keep cussing every time I have to spin and spin the carousel to try to find the application I want to run. Pretty irritating, isn't it?
I am glad that I am not the only one with this issue, but can see that we have to wait a while for a solution. Hope soon to get this from the forum here :-) :-(
Same here hope some techy person can figure it out!
anyone solved this for 2. generation of kindle fire?
