Can't Make Old Google Search Go AWAY?

I have a year old Kindle Fire. For web browsing I always have Yahoo, Flixster and a few other web pages seemingly embedded. They don't bug me, but a six month old google search is always there too. I can't make it go away. I've clearedcookies, cache, history, and hit " x " on it a hundred times and when I go back to view the web it's ALWAYs there. How can I make it go away? Thanks

This issue, which still occurs with my original kindle fire, can only be resolved by going to the kindle fires options menu, then clicking applications, then clicking all applications, then clicking browser in that dropdpwn menu, then clicking clear cache, then clicking clear data.
This will erase all your history, your web preferences, passwords, cookies, bookmarks...all that web browser-related stuff. You'll even have to relog into facebook. This will return your web browser to its original state.

The problem will be fixed immediately. Unfortunately, the problem *may* return:
    Not at all,
    Maybe in 4 days,
    or maybe in 4 weeks...etc.
It is very random. I performed this fix about 3 weeks ago and have been good since. But prior to that, I did the fix and that ttime it only lasted maybe two days. It is up to the whim of the device. Have fun.
