You can do the following:

• Settings > Applications
• Filter by All Applications
• Select AppManager
• Under the Storage heading, select "Clear Data"
• Select OK to confirm

I think a firmware fix is needed to completely clear it. Hope this helps.

This will get rid of most of your carousel items, but a few will remain.
