    Fire Gen 5 To HDMI

    Hello Folks,

I have a cabin and would like to load movies and shows and take them one the road and watch them at a location that has no Internet/wifi.

Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this?

I have a Gen 5 with mirroring. It will connect to Roku, of course without wifi it will not work. I bought a new fire stick but it wont even connect to that. Any external devices that work? Seems like a lost cause.

    Thanks!

    L

Old message. But the Microsoft MIRACAST device works without WiFi. It creates its own WiFi.

Yes but the mirror cast is expensive compared to chrome cast, i used the WiFi hot spot function on my phone for such occasions, it gives the internet connection required but uses neg data

That only works if you have a cell tower nearby. Have been to many rural areas where we have no cell tower service.

That's the longest response between, a post I've ever had, have you been on a world tour?
yes that's quite true, T I'm from uk, where it's actually quite hard to get no signal at all,you literally have to be 50 miles from any where at all, a weak signal perhaps, but you only need a weak signal to run a chrome xastr, but if you live in n uncivilized country with insufficient cell towers abd insist on going in to the wikderness
It'srather your own fault, burn them to a memory stick nd plug into the telly, or take a CD player with you

I'm not sure if the fire stick requires an interconnection rather than just wifimaybe, maybe not,
