    Sorry, I should have said breaks root and patches the exploit making it unrootable(at least until someone figures out a new exploit).

    "Amazon just pushed 6.2.1 to devices". Didn't know that, I'll check when I get home.

    Mine will still not update no matter how many times I sync it or restart the device. All this talk in the forums and blots, yet in reality there is no such update.

    I tried the same and it won't update. The update is for real if you want to manually install it check here:
