1mobile market also does app updates pretty much as fast as the Android market and a LOT sooner than Amazon.

So did anyone find a suitable anti-virus that they have successfully used on the Fire without any issues?

    Hey Mr Kirbs,

I've been using VirusFighter and it appears to work great on my Fire. I wrote up a page about Kindle Fire Security on my website which has some photos of the app on my Kindle.

    I hope that helps!

I have to say this is the best information I have gathered from the forum so far (1mobile). I have two desktops; two laptops, two netbooks and now the Kindle Fire. I have been on many forums and there always seems to be some really nice people willing to share some good solid information that really helps out the members. Thanks for the info; I have already passed it on to several new Fire owners and we all appreciate the efforts. Thanks again.

Talking about android antivirus apps reminds me of the story about the guy who was selling rhinocerous repellant - when people asked him if it worked, he said "Have you seen any rhinocerouses around here lately?"
