Transferring files from computer to KF

    Transferring files from computer to KF

    When I connect KF to computer via micro usb the KF isn't being recognized as external drive.

    Did your computer install any adapters?

    Thanks for responding. Not sure what you mean by installing any adapters. I plugged usb into computer and when I checked windows explorer it didn't show any enternal drives.

    I think he meant drivers...there should have been some sort of prompt from Windows when you attached. I ended up sideloading WiFiExplorerPro, and simply start the service on my device, nav to the device with a browser, and swap files that way. Samba does this as well.

    No, did not get any prompts from windows like I normally do when I attach other external drives.

    Try the easy installer app on the Amazon app store, should solve your issue.

    Thanks for information, but I feel that I should be able to connect to KF via micro USB per Amazon documentation. Does anyone know the phone number or e-mail address for Amazon Support? I looked around on amazon.com but couldn't find one.

    Please ignore my previous post. I searched again on Amazon.com and did locate e-mail support information, so I e-mailed them asking for assistance with this problem.

    The KF should show up in your Computer icon.. Rt click on it and open. It should show up as a drive.. Mine is drive H....I just did a "send to H and transferred the files that way..can delete the files in there by just rt click on the file and choose delete.
