    can we upload pdf files in kindle fire?

    Is buying the ebook from the online story is the only way or Can we upload pdf files and read them as an ebook?

    yes, I downloaded all the files I have stored on my laptop and they went over just fine, similar to transffering files to a flash drive. The word doc's cannot be edited which has me scratching my head. I apologize, I was answering specifically to files and pdf files not ebook files.

    Yes; as Tucci said -- I've downloaded over a hundred PDFs, but in truth it seems to like MSWord.doc or docx files better in many cases -- but either works...
