    The Cloud?

I have 20gb of space on my could Drive in addition to my music library. I had thought the Kindle Fire could access this cloud so that if I uploaded a video, or some comic files or some pictures I could at the very least Download the content to the kindle. But I don't see a way to do this, there is no App in the store for the cloud drive. And you can not download from a browser. Anyone know if this is possible?

My understanding is that if you have something saved in your cloud then it should automatically appear on your kindle under the appropriate section. If you have 20Gbs free, have you actually uploaded anything to your cloud drive yet?

If you look at the top of the display when in a category, i.e., music, video, books, there are two tabs, labeled "Cloud" and "Device" that can be selected as desired.

    Hey All-
So I'm going to get my Fire today and lunch. I have one question though, if you root the fire, do you still have access to the cloud? I'm just worried about not having enough space to save things. I read on the rooting forum that you do not have access to amazon movies and such but didn't know if rooting will also do away with the cloud?

    Thanks!
    -Nate

Actually, with an app, you can 'temp unroot' with a reboot, and watch Prime, then re-root, reboot, back to rooted.

Photos cannot be downloaded via wi fi to the Gallery.. You must connect your fire to your PC via cable to transfer photos.

Music can be downloaded via wi fi.

Docs in the cloud can be downloaded and you can email docs to your fire.

    Purchased videos can be downloaded.

    Nothing is "just there."

When surfing online, long-press a photo, and select Save As...Gallery will scan and grab it wherever it is, eventually. External photos/folders can also be transferred via wifi using Samba/WifiExplorer/Astro,etc. or any similar wifi networking app.
