So...Lenovo has their brand-new to market A1 "on sale" for $200. Most new product introductions try to hold their MSRP for at least the first month or so. If Lenovo has to stoop to $200 to sell the A1, I think we know what the A1 will sell for for the foreseeable future.

"Just another 7-inch tablet" to me. Same general specs as the Acer A100, except it isn't running Honeycomb. Looks like dated tech to me. Nothing stands out about this Lenovo. Their Thinkpad tablets on the other hand....

I'm not sure just how "on sale" it is when Amazon has it listed for pre-order at $199.99.

There may be nothing "special" about it but it is a respectable alternative to those not happy with the Fire's puny memory, lack of BT (something I use regularly) and lack of 3G. It may not run Honeycomb but neither does the Fire and that is the subject of this thread -- Fire vs. Lenovo Ideapad A1.

Finally! I've been trying to register since yesterday, but the captcha wasn't working. Anyhoo, I'm glad someone started this thread. I'm down to these two and trying to decide which one to get. I'm waiting for hands-on reviews, which are starting to come in, and black friday (who knows?).

The battery life between charges caught my eye, looks like the Fire can be a bit longer between charges? 7.5+ hours vs 5
