Try Lookout Ad Detector (market), and clear out any non-vital apps that contain trackers, etc. Good luck!

Hi. I was only able to find Appbrain Ad Detector, but it only displayed my installed apps and their permissions.
My problem looks more like something installed on the Kindle's browser, that is making it open tabs at startup, as it happens when adware is installed on windows PCs

Mine started inventing histories and open tabs for spam with 6.3 update as well. I thought it was just me. It only happens on the stock browser and didn't happen before 6.3

Having the same problem here since 6.3 update. When the browser opens I have to close about 20 tabs, most of which say, "new tab". The others are web pages I haven't been to in a while. Clearing the history does nothing; they keep showing up. I also notice that youtube videos picture quality is terrible now and causes even more new tabs to open. Tapping a video does not take you to that video, but to a previous page which then just keeps loading. Sigh.

I contacted Amazon's Kindle Support' and they suggested to switch the pop-up blocking setting to "always".
I did, but it didn't solve the problem.

These aren't ads or spam sites. These are things that you opened up in the past. It happens to me and each and every thing that keeps opening up, I have opened up in the past. The browser also takes a long time opening up now.
