Tethering Android Htc Hero to my Kindle Fire

i have seen posts on different websites on how to tether my phone to my kindle fire, but i cannot seem to get my kindle to find my phone as a wifi hotspot. My phone is rooted and i downloaded WiFi Tether app and have set everything up the way i have read. I can find my phones wifi on my laptop so i know it works, but still cannot get my kindle to find it. I have an HTC Hero running version 2.1update1 . Could someone please walk me through the steps or tell me an alternative way of setting it up? Thanks alot.

Can't help you but given the fact that you're rooted your phone and are using a non-approved tethering app (no moral judgment implied), you might have better luck trying one of the Android sites that discuss tethering your specific phone while avoiding the tethering charge from your carrier.

You need a special app on your, kindle fire but you have to be rooted. zt-180 adhoc switcher. Set up the name and password before you turn on the adhoc feature within the app.
