    Amazon Prime Question

So I got the Fire for the sole purpose of rooting it and making it an Android tablet. But I also have an Amazon Prime membership. I saw one workaround that was posted in this forum, which requires a temporary unroot. My question is if there is any other way to get Prime with root access, and if no will there be an easier way in the future. I dont want to root the fire and lose my Prime access. Thoughts?

The only prime membership perk you will lose if you root your KF, is the streaming of videos. Everything else will still work just fine. The work around is using OTA Root Keeper to temporarily make your KF look like it's not rooted so you can stream videos.

I have a (sort of) related question...will Amazon Prime streaming videos only be disabled on my KF if I root it, or does it in some strange way affect me being able to stream the videos on my laptop as well? I know this HAS to be a dumb question but I had to ask...

    thanks,

    DB

No, you'll be fine on your laptop.

Rootkeeper doesn't seem to work for using the "Kindle Owners Lending Library", anybody have any luck with a work around for that?
