Don't have a KF to try it on yet. but looking at all the comments, filtering out the "operator error" ones, it appears to be working just fine.

Hopefully I'll have one in my hand tomorrow!

Got the kf In my hand. I didn't think I needed to root it right away as I kinda like it. But then I found I couldn't tether it to my og droid without rooting it and doing some manipulation.

As my luck would have it, my windows box crashed and burned last night, so I'm currently trying to get adb running on my Linux box. Lots of fun!

Ok, finally got adb working on my linux box, and I rooted the Kindle using the above method with no problem. Installed the ZT-180 Adhoc switcher, and can now tether it to my droid.

that's weird on the tether part. my D2G is rooted but not the KF and it connected with no problems. I contemplated rooting the KF and yes it was because more updates to come im sure. so im waiting till it gets a little more stable.
