    Trouble Unrooting....

Maybe a month ago I rooted my kindle fire successfully. I decided I would rather sell it as I have a kindle fire HD as well. I tried following the steps for un-rooting but I can not seem to get rid of twrp. I gave up on it for a while but now I would like to make it fully stock again and I still can not figure out what is wrong. Now it doesn't even seem to boot up. It's stuck on the Kindle Fire boot screen for a long time.

I attached a picture of the error message I get when I install the update. It happens almost instantly. 2013-09-12 13.34.27.jpg

I hope someone can help. Please let me know if you need any more info. Thank you.

Yes. I even tried using an older update just to see. 6.2.2 I think. Same thing happened though.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

I'm using the latest version of twrp. Downloading the latest update from amazon. Putting it in the root folder. Wiping everything. Installing it like all the videos and directions day to. I really don't get why it won't work.

I have a nandroid but it's still rooted. I have stock os on there. But I want to make it completely stock. No twrp. No nothing. When it boots up it should be the orange Kindle Fire logo.

Sorry for the delay. I was too busy to try anything last night. Hopefully tonight.

How can I use your nandroid? I didn't see a link or a file.

    Thanks for the help!

So I downloaded the twrp file. changed the name to twrp.img and put it in the recovery folder. When I run option 3 in KFU it says something like twrp not found so we'll download it for you. So it just downloads and installs the latest version. Any suggestions? i'm going to try again but I think i'll just end up using the other recovery.

So I figured out that you don't want to rename it twrp.img. It's already a .img file. So just call it twrp. That worked. Now i'm going to try and restore it back to stock.
