Very excited to announce that the creative devs over at XDA got the first ROM booted on the Kindle Fire! This is a HUGE first step toward a pure android experience and to unlocking the bluetooth chip and other 'clipped' hardware tweaks. CM7 is the name of the build and thus far it appears to be working smoothly with wifi and the screen both reporting fine along with apps.

This, being a highly experimental build, I would really encourage that everyone wait until a more stable ROM comes along before booting it on your fire. Ill be the first to let you know what looks good as more releases start coming out. At the rate the research is going, I would be willing to bet that we will have some full functioning ROMS released after the first of the year. If not sooner...
