Red face MovieGallery for Kindle Fire

As many of you know, ever since the Kindle Fire came out, I have been battling to get MovieGallery listed. As a temporary solution, I even provided a manual install guide for MovieGallery Free ( MovieGallery Free for Kindle Fire (apk download+install guide) ).

Today, Amazon finally approved MovieGallery for the Kindle Fire:

    Amazon.com: MovieGallery: Appstore for Android

MovieGallery Free should not be far off, but you can still use the manual install guide.

For more information on what MovieGallery is, have a look here:

It depends on how high a quality you use, but with 1GB average for a decent quality movie, you can store 5.
With the streaming server part, you can use the storage of your computer, making it nearly unlimited.

Still having problems with zoom feature. Everything else is great, but most of my videos are not wide screen. I don't want things distorted. Every now and then, I can get the 'fit' screen to work, but usually not. Video always starts out stretched and distorted. Very frustrating because I would really like this app otherwise...

Unfortunately the zoom feature behaves differently on different Android version. I have spent quite some time on getting it to work correctly on the Kindle Fire, but with some of the other changes being a bit more significant, I released it with the other fixes. I am still working on the Zoom.

If you want all your movies full-screen, I would suggest to use the information in this guide for now.

with one change ("select completely remove from device" as a border removal setting) all your videos will end up full-screen.
