I didn't find much for you. But this what I found for now.

I know that we are supposed to only be able to get apps from Amazon market but I am really hoping we can side-load.

Amazon.com: keynote remote: Appstore for Android

    Thanks a lot=)

I have to say that if the Kindle Fire can not be side-loaded, it will hurt to much to the attraction of it.
This means Amazon has decided Kindle to be totally a money machine and we have to give up the 300,000 apps in Google android market and bear the little 10,000 apps in Amazon.

Keynote is a mac app and I believe an iPad app too?

Therefore your in apple's ball park.

What you really want is an office suite/package for android, which was something I asked about earlier and was told that there are actually plenty available, which is good news for both of us
