Talking Bible App - What is best?

Hi, I just bought my kindle fire and want to purchase a bible app. I prefer NIV and the ability to work offline since most churches do not have wifi and I travel a lot and will not always have wifi available. I use it for bible study so being able to search, jump back and forth in scripture, hightlight, get definitions, and access to other translations and commentary would be great. Thank you in advance for your help!

its great. you can use it off line, online, on your kindle, on your phone, and on your pc and they all will be insync.
it has many different translations and languages.
it has bookmarks , highlights, notes, and tons of reading plans.
you can even listen while you read.
oh did i say it is totally free!!

I have Youversion but the NIV doesn't seem to be a version you can download. I do like the app a lot!

I have the free youversion bible app and in church today I tried to use it and it said I had no wifi connection and no offline version. You are saying this is usable offline?

Yes you can download some versions to your device.
While you've got wifi, open the app, tap Bible, in the upper right tap the version, the available versions show up, tap the green download icons of the versions you want on the Fire. The versions you chose are then available while offline

Keep an eye out. They run instances where you can download it for certain periods of time occasionally. I was able to grab NIV on my Incredible phone.
Ive switched to Tecarta and used Frostwire to transfer them (KJV,NKJV,NIV,ESV,NLT) from my phone to my Fire
