I don't know about when you're looking at the app store through the Kindle Fire itself, but I did see the Netflix app in the Amazon app store this morning. Ironically, I did a search for "Netflix" and it was the LAST app to come up.

Here's a link to the Netflix app in the Amazon app store:
    Amazon.com: Netflix: Appstore for Android

Well, that's great news about sideloading! Everyone is raving about the display. Waiting for mine to arrive any minute now...

Awesome, glad to hear about the sideloading as well. I have heard that SOME apps may not work, let's hope those are few and far between.

I noticed I had to search for "Netflix for Android" and it was able to find it for me....but just searching just Netflix on the Fire didnt work.

As for sideloading, Things are working pretty good.........LauncherPro and ADW Launcher didn't work (of course) but I was able to get a "honeycomb" launcher clone to work......don't know if it's more of an "emulation" rather than a Launcher.......but the thing is, It's possible......it will let me choose my launcher program....haven't tried a new keyboard yet.......and the keyboards that are in the Amazon appstore arn't showing up

I also got Androirc, Age of Dinosaurs and GETJAR Appstore that I was able to download

In a Matter of fact......I have about 260ish apps from Amazon in the "My Apps" section on my phone.....but on the Fire on "My Apps" I only have 150ish

    any other questions, just ask.....

I think the issue with different keyboards is that you can't access the underlying Android control preferences to change the keyboard to your "aftermarket" version.

I too was able to sideload a couple of apps. I installed an app that I have been developing for some time by sending it to Dropbox first and then downloading the apk that way. I also did a backup of HBOGo inside ESExplorer and then saved that apk to Dropbox and installed it just fine as well. Both seem to be working just fine right now as does the Dropbox app that I downloaded from their website on the Fire itself. I have a few others that I have paid fro through the Android Market that I have no desire to purchase a 2nd time on Amazon. So I will back those up and send them over in the same fashion and see what works and what doesn't work.
