The Fire doesn't have an HDMI port so you're out of luck on this one.

You just have to ram it in and it will fit.
It has a micro USB port, not an HDMI port. They aren't the same. Good luck making it work.

You are right If the cord works the Kindle wont put video out. I am sorry but I assumed with the right cord it will work.
My understanding the true HDMI outlet cord has more pins and would carry the picture to the TV. The experiment only cost me 2.80 plus free shipping. Thanks for sstuner,hdcowboy,jwlary & herosemblem for your posts.
